Bare Minerals Prime Time BB primer cream review

This is a review of the Bare Minerals Prime Time BB Primer-Cream Daily Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30 product. Like many BB creams, the Bare Minerals Prime Time BB cream gives the skin a more uniform tone by diminishing imperfections and the appearance of large pores.

Advantages of the BareMinerals BB cream over other BB creams:
– it has broad spectrum sunscreen protection of SPF 30;
– it does not contain alcohol;
– it has a silky texture that does not feel sticky or oily on the skin (great for normal to oily skin in the summer);
– it lasts several hours; and
– it is travel friendly (30 ml./1 fl. oz in a small plastic tube means you can take this in your carry-on bag).

I recommend that you use this alone, not under a liquid foundation. When I applied my liquid foundation over it, I felt like I was wearying a lot of makeup. Perhaps if you wear the BareMinerals original (powder) foundation or some other powder foundation over this, it might work for you. If you want just a sheer veil of color to cover minor imperfections, this is a terrific product. The broad spectrum SPF sunscreen is definitely a plus.

There are only four shades: fair, light, medium and tan. I wear medium shade which is just right for me. The tan shade is too dark. If you fall in between shades, too bad. It’s best to try the shades in a store.

Price: US$26 for 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce). Available at BareMinerals stores, Sephora and other outlets.
