Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation Review

The Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation is the latest version of Make Up For Ever’s incredibly popular HD foundation, designed for the demands of the video/TV industry (in particular the new 4K technology). The purpose of this new foundation is to make your skin look very natural, but flawless. The reviews of this new foundation on Sephora fall into two camps: “I hate it” (one star) or “I love it” (five stars); there’s few in between. You either love it to death or you hate it so much that you’re begging on your knees to have the original version back on the shelves.

I owned the previous version of this foundation, which was the perfect color match for my skin tone (28 Almond). The new version is still a perfect color match. The new Ultra HD foundation is slightly different in that it provides less coverage for my large pores and discolorations. But it makes up for the lighter coverage by making my skin look more natural and glowy. I have combination skin and the new Ultra HD foundation did not make my skin look greasy even hours after application.

In summary: I like the new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation as much as the previous version and I’m solidly in the “I Like It” camp. The shade numbering has changed. 28 Almond is now Y415. But you’ll see the old and new number system on the same packaging.
