Shiseido 7 Lights Powder Illuminator is a gorgeous powder composed of seven colours in an elegant compact with a mirror and a soft, luxurious brush. The powder looks sparkly and bright in photographs but in reality, it is a soft, finely milled powder that isn’t sparkly or shiny. It is the most versatile powder compact on the market today. Here’s how you use it:
- swipe the brush across the entire powder pan and apply to your entire face for a subtle glow;
- swipe the brush across the brown side and apply to cheeks for a bronzy look;
- swipe the brush across the pink/white/purple side and apply under eyes and above eyelids for highlighting;
- use the brown colours as an eye shadow.
The Shiseido 7 Lights Powder Illuminator does not accentuate fine lines or sink into pores. There are no sparkles. It doesn’t make oily skin look shinier either. On the whole this is one of Shiseido’s finest products ever released.
As of this writing (6 Feb 2017), it is available in Asia. In Japan, it costs 5800 yen (without tax). I don’t know when it will become available in the US and Europe but I’ll update this post when it does.
