Shiseido Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Foundation is the glowy version of last year’s fantastic Synchro Skin Lasting foundation. It is less matte than the Skin Lasting foundation so if you have dry skin or if you want a less matte look, this new foundation from Shiseido is perfect for you. It is now available in the US, but in Japan, it will be available in March 2017. Shiseido USA has 13 shades; in Japan the shade range is limited (they have the Ochre shades but not the Neutral).
I had a chance to test the Shiseido Synchro Skin Glow Luminizing Foundation and to compare it to my Skin Lasting foundation, which I have been using since last year. Indeed, the Glow foundation gives a more glowy look, less matte, but it is not sheer. It provides medium to full coverage, depending on how you apply it. If you apply it with the Shiseido brush, you will get more coverage. If you apply it with your fingers or with the Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush, you get medium coverage.
It does not sink into pores or accentuate fine lines. I wore the Shiseido 7 Lights Powder Illuminator over it and my skin looked amazing!
I recommend this foundation without hesitation, but I would advise you to go to a cosmetics counter to get colour-matched.
Price in the US: $45.
